Root Canal Therapy

Root canal treatment – performed at our Canberra City clinic or external periodontist – is designed to save teeth that are diseased or have undergone trauma. When the nerve inside a tooth becomes infected or diseased, it is removed and the root is filled to prevent subsequent bacteria growing. If root canal treatment is not performed, eventually the entire bone structure becomes infected, resulting in an abscess and finally tooth removal.
